We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Onsite IT Technician to provide technical support across four physical locations in the Wichita area. In this role, you'll be the go-to person for day-to-day IT needs, helping employees resolve various technical issues and ensuring smooth operation of our systems. You will report directly to the offsite IT Director, who provides 24/7 oversight and assistance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys providing friendly, responsive service, is competent in a range of IT modalities, and sees IT as a customer service role.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Helpdesk Support (60-75% of work time)
- Troubleshoot and resolve employee IT issues such as password resets, login/access problems, software assistance, and printer driver installations.
- Setup, replace, and maintain PCs, printers, and other office equipment.
- Walk employees through technology usage, helping them become confident with their tools.
- Monitor system and WiFi network performance, and address any operational issues.
- Perform regular checks to ensure computers and other tech resources are functioning properly.
- Pull and review camera footage after security incidents.
Special Projects (~25% of work time):
- Collaborate with the off-site IT Director to execute monthly plans and special IT projects as developed by the IT Director or General Manager.
- Provide feedback and report progress on projects to ensure goals are met.
Ongoing Training (5-10% of work time):
- Paid training, including continuing education or certifications, planned based on employee interests in collaboration with off-site IT Director, to sharpen and develop your competencies in various IT modalities.
Travel
- Travel to other job sites in the Wichita area approximately twice per week to support the needs of these sites.
Qualifications:
- Experience in desktop support, troubleshooting, or IT help desk roles required.
- Familiarity with basic IT tasks such as password management, printer support, software installation, and network troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, ask questions when needed, and solve problems independently.
- Willingness to travel within the Wichita area.
- Eagerness to learn and pursue ongoing training and certifications (paid by the company).
