Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Oil Change Technicians :
Service Excellence : Efficiently execute tasks outlined in repair orders, from oil changes to safety inspections, ensuring top-notch service.Technical Skills : Skillfully handle oil and filter changes, fluid level checks, tire pressure adjustments, and lubrication of moving parts.Parts Coordination : Communicate effectively with the parts department to secure necessary components.Quality Control : Keep an eye out for any defects or malfunctions, reporting them promptly.Documentation : Accurately record all work performed, keeping detailed records for accountability.Continuous Learning : Participate in training programs and stay updated with technical bulletins for professional growth.Presentation : Ensure guests' vehicles remain clean and report any changes in appearance or condition immediately.Workspace Maintenance : Keep the shop tidy and manage dealership tools and manuals responsibly.Regulatory Compliance : Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA guidelines.Safety First : Operate all equipment safely and report any concerns to management.Your Drive. Requirements
Experience and Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or ASE certification preferred.Minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive repair and maintenance.Technical Skills :
Proficiency in working with vehicle systems.Experience with using diagnostic tools, service equipment, and repair manuals.Certifications :
ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.Knowledge :
Strong understanding of automotive systems.Familiarity with manufacturer-specific repair procedures and guidelines.Physical Ability :
Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy parts and standing for extended periods.Manual dexterity and the ability to use hand tools effectively.Problem-Solving :
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and accurately.Attention to Detail :
High precision and attention to detail in all repair and maintenance tasks.Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.Communication Skills :
Ability to communicate effectively with service advisors and guests.Proficient in documenting repair work and explaining technical issues to non-technical individuals.Teamwork :
