As a Restaurant Maître d', you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests receive an exceptional dining experience from the moment they walk through our doors. This position involves managing reservations, greeting and seating guests with warmth and efficiency, and overseeing the front-of-house operations to ensure a seamless service flow. You'll collaborate closely with the restaurant staff to address guest needs, handle special requests, and resolve any issues that arise, all while maintaining a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities:
- Guest Reception: Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations, and ensure a hospitable atmosphere throughout their visit.
- Seating Arrangements: Coordinate guest seating with consideration of reservations, table availability, and any special requests or preferences.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication between serving staff, the kitchen, and other restaurant personnel to ensure smooth service and address any guest needs.
- Reservation Management: Oversee the reservation system, track bookings, and manage guest flow during peak times to maintain efficient operations.
- Problem Resolution: Resolve any guest issues or complaints swiftly and professionally, finding solutions to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Menu Knowledge: Thoroughly understand the menu, including food and beverage options, to assist guests with recommendations and choices.
- Special Events Coordination: Organize and manage special events, private functions, or large group reservations, ensuring all guest requirements are met.
- Training and Supervision: Train and oversee host/hostess staff, ensuring their performance meets the restaurant’s service standards.
- Maintaining Ambiance: Monitor and enhance the dining area’s ambiance, including lighting, music, and cleanliness.
- Upselling and Promotion: Promote special menu items and services to enhance the guest experience and support the restaurant’s revenue goals.
- Handling VIP Guests: Offer personalized attention to VIPs or regular guests, fostering strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative responsibilities such as managing reservation records, preparing reports, and participating in staff meetings.
Qualifications:
- Leadership: A minimum of 5 years of proven leadership abilities with experience training and supervising staff, ensuring adherence to service standards, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Experience: Proven experience in a hospitality or restaurant management role, preferably as a Maître d', host/hostess, or similar position in a high-end dining environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, staff, and management.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating exceptional dining experiences and handling guest inquiries and complaints with grace.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including reservations, seating arrangements, and special requests, while maintaining a high level of organization.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing and resolving issues or complaints effectively and efficiently.
- Menu Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including the ability to make recommendations and answer guest questions about the menu.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail in maintaining the ambiance, cleanliness, and overall presentation of the dining area.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using reservation management systems, POS systems, and other restaurant-related technology.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the restaurant's operational needs.
