This role is a crucial position for maintaining the efficiency and productivity of our operations by providing technical support, managing network and hardware issues, and ensuring the seamless operation and security of our IT infrastructure within the Medina Roofing Plant.
The IT specialist will play a key role in facilitating communication, managing IT related projects, and supporting our staff to ensure that all IT needs are meant effectively. This role is essential for minimizing downtime, enhancing system performance, and contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing plant.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
Install, configure and maintain computer systems, servers, and network equipment.
Monitor and manage network security.
Perform system updates and backups as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure all IT related issues are meant.
Managing communication of SAP outages and notifications
Handle internet and Ethernet system ups and downs, including ports.
Manage all network printers, computers, and laptops.
Manage IT tickets with third party IT department to the best of your ability.
Assist staff with accessing the IT portal to open tickets, order equipment, and create accounts.
Partner with World Truck to work through server issues.
Must be able to work from heights to complete needed job duties
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required
Two or more years of IT experience
Must be 18 years or older
Must be a US citizen or have the right to work in the US
Must remain drug and alcohol free.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems
Experience working in IT in a manufacturing setting, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must read, write and speak English
Must understand verbal and written instructions
Must be able to operate a computer or other keyboard instrument
Must have strong internal and external customer service skills.
Must work well in a team environment
Must be self-motivated to work independently and in a group, and meet targets
Must have strong attention to detail.
Must have strong process acumen.
Must maintain schedule flexibility as tasks may arise unexpectedly.
Must be able to think and work under pressure and analyze information to identify solutions.
