Plant Operator

Reports to: Plant Manager Follow directions from: Crew Leader

Overall Responsibility: Safely conduct manufacturing activities to produce Activated Carbon, support plant housekeeping, and maintain plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out pre-inspection of plant manufacturing and mobile equipment, reporting any issues to leadership and assisting in their resolution.
• Operate equipment and machinery required to produce Activated Carbon.
• Complete all tasks assigned by the Plant Manager and/or Crew Leader with high quality and in a timely manner.
• Complete tasks assigned in the Daily Instruction Form.
• Submit the completed form to the Plant Manager at the end of the shift.
• Resolve problems as they arise, either independently or by collaborating with the DC team.
• Suggest improvements to current operational standards or propose new ones, identifying any opportunities during the shift.
• Support and drive safety improvements and behavior in the plant.
• Report any violation of SOP or Health & Safety procedures to the Plant Manager immediately.
• Support and participate in plant housekeeping initiatives.
• Maintain manufacturing areas in an organized and clean condition.
• Clean up after any deviations or issues.
• Stay updated on new manufacturing practices.
• Communicate any questions or concerns.
• Help control manufacturing costs and adhere to the budget.
• Attend all required meetings as directed by the Plant Manager.
• Support maintenance personnel when needed, cover vacant Plant Operator positions as deemed necessary by the Plant Manager.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Plant Manager.
