Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Residential Housekeeper / House Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in homes around Oakland, Washtenaw, Livingston county areas, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all homeowners. This role requires a strong commitment to quality service, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with little direction as well as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Launder, fold, and put away linens and towels in an organized fashion, ensuring they are clean and well-presented. Ironing on occasion.
- Perform house management tasks when necessary, including the following: maintaining the family's schedule, inventory and stock homes grocery/household items consistently, plan/shop/prep/cook meals, implement/maintaining organizational systems to ensure homes are running smoothly
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and other common areas to maintain hygiene standards.
- Carry out carpet cleaning and floor care duties as required.
- Manage personal inventory of housekeeping supplies and restock any shortages.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to clients' requests or concerns.
- Occasional child/pet transportation
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies throughout the cleaning process.
Requirements
- Previous experience in residential housekeeping, custodial, janitorial, or commercial cleaning is required. Preferably 4 years.
- Being pet-friendly and good with children is a MUST.
- Reliable transportation is a necessity as you will be traveling from home to home.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed during cleaning tasks.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and products, equipment usage, and safety protocols is desirable.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as required.
