General Manager/Production Manager

Job Summary
The General Manger leads and oversees the production operations at the Dongwon Autopart Technology Georgia manufacturing facility. They will ensure the smooth, efficient, and cost-effective production of high-quality automotive parts by overseeing all aspects of production operations, from planning and resource management to quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties

• Oversee the daily operations of the production floor to ensure the efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing of automotive parts
• Collaborate on a cross-functional team to ensure alignment and seamless operation, as well as on initiatives, such as: continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and cost reduction strategies
• Develop and implement short- and long-term production strategies
• Develop and oversee key performance indicators (KPI's) to monitor production progress and implement corrective action(s)
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and developing of production staff to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce
• Ensure quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications are followed in all production processes
• Participate on a cross-functional team to resolve any quality issues or production inefficiencies, taking quick and effective corrective action(s)
• Prepare and manage the production budget, ensuring to optimize resources and costs
• Conduct regular safety audits and address any potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment for all team members
• Provide regular updates on production performance, challenges, and opportunities
• Work with cross-functional teams to align production schedules with customer demand and supply chain challenges
• Participate in strategic decision-making processes to drive business growth and success

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and innovation within the production team
• Implement performance management processes, including regular performance evaluations, feedback, and professional development
• Direct and manage a team of supervisors, specialists, and team members to meet production targets, deadlines, and quality standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Mangement, or related field
• Five or more years of experience in production or manufacturing management with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Possess strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
• Possess strong knowledge of automotive industry standards and requirements
• Possess excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment and collaborate with various departments
• Proficient in production management software and ERP systems
• Preferred - Fluency in Korean is a plus, as it will enhance the communication with the parent company

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of cleaning and repair procedures
• Knowledge of safe work principles and practices including lockout/tagout
• Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks and demands
• Skill in working with deadlines to complete projects and assignment

• Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Standing and walking on a production floor which is dusty, dirty, and oily
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• May be required to push or pull items weighing up to 20 to 30 pounds
• Must be able to do some bending and stretching when needed
• Including required use of Personal Protective Equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
