Position Overview

As a Cook l Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, meticulous preparation, and seamless execution of food production activities across all our Food & Beverage (F&B) outlets, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation are consistently met.

Compensation $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned culinary tasks and preparation duties.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is operational; promptly report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Address guest concerns or complaints by escalating them to the Food and Beverage Supervisor.
  • Prepare and present dishes according to standardized recipes.
  • Continuously enhance your knowledge of hotel recipes, food preparation, and presentation techniques.
  • Properly store and handle food in compliance with HACCP guidelines.
  • Immediately report and document any safety hazards or unsafe practices to management.
  • Coordinate kitchen activities to ensure efficient service.
  • Maintain high hygiene standards in the cleaning of work areas and equipment.
  • Ensure work areas are cleaned and sanitized at the beginning, during, and end of each shift.
  • Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to develop new menu items for the cook-to-order line.
  • Date and label prepared products for proper rotation.
  • Train team members as directed.
  • Requisition food products from the storeroom.
  • Adhere to proper check handling and food issuing procedures.
  • Maintain daily cleanliness of the kitchen to ensure a safe and organized workspace.

Additional Duties :

  • Comply with all hotel work rules, procedures, and policies, including those outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Be flexible with work schedules to meet the demands of the business, which operates 24 / 7.
  • Qualifications :

  • Previous cooking experience is required.
  • Prior experience in a kitchen environment is essential.
  • Skills and Competencies :

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift heavy objects.
  • Proficient in operating kitchen equipment.
