Position Summary

As a Restaurant Host l Restaurant Welcome Enthusiast you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming and positive first impression of our restaurant. Your role is crucial in showcasing the friendliness and exceptional quality of service that our establishment is known for. You will greet guests upon arrival, assist with seating arrangements, and ensure that their initial interactions are pleasant and efficient. Additionally, you will maintain a cash bank, accurately process transactions, and adhere to the outlet's cash handling procedures. Your attention to detail, warm demeanor, and commitment to excellence will significantly enhance the overall guest experience, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. By embodying our values of hospitality and service, you will help reinforce our reputation for outstanding customer care and operational excellence.

Essential Functions

• Greet guests upon entering the restaurant and assist those on a waiting list within the specified time limit.
• Escort guests to appropriate tables as soon as possible and offer assistance if needed.
• Handle reservations and maintain seating assignment charts.
• Arrange for booster seats or high chairs as needed.
• Notify the manager of any guests perceived to be unhappy.
• Bid farewell to guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Keep the host / hostess station clean and organized, ensuring all menus are clean.
• Restock necessary supplies.
• Perform shift change and / or closing duties.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to questions accordingly.
• Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
• Assist servers with cashiering and maintain accurate currency exchange.
• Maintain check control system according to standards and notify the supervisor immediately of any suspicious or incorrectly handled guest checks.
• Take room service orders as per outlet standards.
• Assist buspersons or servers with rearranging seating areas for special or large parties.
• Assist buspersons or servers with light cleaning duties as required.
• Assist servers with side work, including sorting and production of service sideware, rollups, or displays.
