What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Manager, Compliance Assurance position at DoorDash USA?
DoorDash is hiring an experienced compliance leader to help us build our compliance assurance function from the ground up. This high-visibility, high-impact role will establish the global legal compliance strategy in close partnership with legal, product, policy, engineering, audit, and business teams. In addition to laying the foundation of a new compliance second-line-of-defense function, you will translate regulatory requirements and legal guidance into controls, develop a strategy to test and monitor such controls, and mature the organization’s overall compliance strategy.
About the Role
As a Senior Manager of Compliance Assurance, you will develop the strategy and drive DoorDash’s compliance assurance function to ensure that our processes, frameworks, and controls are maintained to the required standards. You will also lead end-to-end improvements and automation in our compliance workflows and reporting pipelines. This will be a highly visible, hands-on role in which you will own the compliance register, drive cross-functional alignment, deliver granular compliance insights, and mature the compliance posture over time.
We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, along with excellent analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be someone who is creative, thinks outside the box, is a self-starter with strong project management skills, and operates at the lowest level of detail.
