What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Events Coordinator position at Doosan Bobcat?
Job Information
This position will work directly to coordinate events for the Sales teams, Parts, and Attachments to identify event goals and manage all events and logistics. Core events include the Regional Director Region Meetings, PSAC, Parts Fair, Regional/Government/ National Accounts tradeshows as well as smaller department meetings. Lead and execute Dealer Anniversary Awards and Recognition. This role provides coordination, communication, and organization to effectively help support the initiatives of the many different groups and teams.
Role & Responsibility
Field Sales & Service Team Meetings
- Partner with field managers (Parts, Sales, Service) to coordinate quarterly region meetings. To include (but not limited to) agenda, presentation consolidation, breakout session, training, etc.
- Support sales in recruitment and onboarding plan for new account manager
- Coordination of customer onsite events (i.e., factories, corporate office)
Event Operations
- Work with business partners to plan and manage needs around priority events, including flagship hosted events and tradeshows
- Develop timelines and logistics for the execution of assigned company events from conception to completion
- Partner with venue and key vendor staff to execute all logistics
- Gather, track and report-out on results from each event, provide key learning and future-forward recommendations to inform and improve Bobcat’s presence, perception, and objectives
Regional Tradeshow Planning & Management
- Ensure Bobcat’s show presence provides high visibility and professionalism and reflects Bobcat’s brand promise to our customers
- Develop, manage, and execute the trade show program as a successful marketing tool
- Lead discussion/selection of regional, government, tradeshows
- Provide management and oversight of tradeshow vendors, driving value into the partnership to meet expanding service requirements
- Manage an effective on-site staffing plan to ensure trade show goals are achieved
- May support Dealer trade shows
Dealer Anniversary Awards
- Manage Dealer anniversary awards process, communication, award selection and delivery for all yearly dealer milestones (15,25,40,50).
- Budget
- Manage within the parameters of a projects budget, set by cost center owner. Ensure the budget is in-line with expected scope delivery, escalating overage and proposed remedies to project leader.
- Management of vendor accountability to budget management and oversight of timely reporting and invoice processing
Job Requirement
- Education Required: Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Experience Required: 1 - 3 years
- Travel Required: up to 25% domestic travel
- Some experience working on events with 100 attendees.
- Proven ability to develop event strategies and communicate recommendations to department leadership
- Experience working across departments, with leadership, and with external agencies to guide event strategy and execution
- Demonstrated personnel leadership and resource management.
- Ability to stay ahead of trends and best practices for event planning
- Strong project management skills as well as follow-through and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with ability to interface professionally with individuals at all levels within the organization
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to pivot and problem-solve.
