Job Title: Regional Instructional Coordinator
Location: Various Regions Across the State
Reports To: Director of Professional Learning
Job Summary:
The Regional Instructional Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting and improving academic outcomes across a wide network of charter schools. As part of a dynamic professional learning organization, the Instructional Coach will work closely with school leaders, faculty, and staff to provide professional development, data analysis, and strategic planning aimed at reaching and exceeding academic goals. This role is responsible for driving instructional excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within their assigned region.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Instructional Support and Coaching:
- Provide ongoing, job-embedded professional development to teachers and school leaders in the form of coaching cycles, model lessons, and classroom observations.
- Collaborate with teachers to design and implement effective instructional strategies tailored to meet the needs of all students, including differentiated instruction, intervention techniques, and curriculum planning.
- Facilitate coaching conversations and professional learning communities (PLCs) to support teacher development and reflection.
2. Data Analysis and Strategic Planning:
- Assist school leaders and faculty in analyzing student performance data (state assessments, benchmark tests, formative assessments) to identify areas for instructional improvement.
- Develop action plans based on data analysis to target specific areas for growth and help schools achieve their academic goals.
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of instructional interventions and make necessary adjustments to maximize student achievement.
3. Professional Learning and Development:
- Design and deliver high-quality professional development workshops for teachers and school leaders aligned to state standards, best practices, and school-specific needs.
- Stay informed about current trends in education, research-based instructional practices, and state mandates to inform coaching and professional learning efforts.
- Support the implementation of new curriculum initiatives, technology integration, and school-wide instructional frameworks.
4. Collaboration with School Leaders:
- Work collaboratively with principals, assistant principals, and instructional teams to ensure alignment of coaching efforts with the school’s vision, goals, and instructional priorities.
- Assist school leaders in creating a data-driven culture that supports effective teaching and learning, including goal setting and progress monitoring.
- Provide feedback and guidance to school leaders on effective instructional leadership practices.
5. Capacity Building:
- Build the capacity of school leaders and faculty to sustain long-term instructional improvement efforts.
- Mentor teacher leaders and instructional staff to take on leadership roles within their schools and foster a collaborative, professional environment.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of coaching activities, professional development sessions, and school visits.
- Prepare regular reports for the Director of Professional Learning and school leaders that highlight progress toward goals, areas of need, and recommended next steps.
Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in education, curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, with a proven track record of improving student achievement. Experience in instructional coaching, leadership roles, or professional development delivery is highly preferred.
Certifications: Valid teaching certification required; instructional coaching or leadership certification preferred.

Base Salary:
The salary for the Regional Instructional Coordinator position is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Pay: $53,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
