Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Landman, located in Dallas, TX. The Senior Landman will be responsible for the following:
- Negotiating oil and gas leases and related agreements to secure favorable terms
- Managing complex land assignments
- Chaining mineral and working interest title using public and private records
- Maintaining accurate records of land, contract and revenue data using specialized software
- Calculating and verify complex divisions of interest for non-operated properties
- Navigating and conduct research using commercial and regulatory websites (RRC, OCC, Enverus, etc.)
- Preparing county and basin-wide analysis of ownership and lease status for management
- Utilizing Microsoft Office suite to produce spreadsheets, correspondence, and presentations
- Assisting with due diligence of acquisitions and divestitures as needed
- Resolving accounting issues as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in oil and gas land work
- Bachelor’s degree with a preference of Energy Commerce, Energy Management or other AAPL accredited program
- Proficient in using the full Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis on Excel
- RPL/CPL designation preferred
- Permian Basin experience preferred
- Mineral management experience is a plus
- Experience utilizing DocVue and LandWorks is a plus
- Division order knowledge and experience is a plus
