What are the responsibilities and job description for the High-Rise Maintenance Technician position at Dorchester Owners Association?
Center City High Rise Condominium in search of an on-site maintenance technician. The ideal candidate would have 5 years experience in high rise building maintenance. Knowledge of basic building system operations, including boiler, chiller, electrical, and plumbing is required. The technician must be able to make repairs, perform general maintenance, and respond to emergency situations.
The technician must be able to communicate with the superintendent and management in a clear and timely manner. Computer literacy is preferred. The individual must work well in a team-oriented environment, respond to emergencies, and participate in on-call duties.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, and repairing equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a BuildingLink software/app
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals
- Experience with logic controllers and electrical systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Customer service-oriented mindset
