Accounting Assistant
Dorse and Company represents the leading manufacturers in the air movement industry in Washington State. We specialize in supplying our customers with high quality mechanical HVAC products designed to provide cost-effective, and long-term trouble-free service. Summary
Our Accounting Assistant is a newly created role, focused on accounting administrative support and general administrative services for our growing Company. Attention to detail and ease of learning/using new systems is paramount for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Daily reconciliation of inventory receiving and associated vendor invoice. Coordination with Sales and Sales Support teams for problem resolution if needed.
- Reconciliation of vendor statements.
- Post A/P entries for credit cards, including gathering proper back up and supporting documents.
- Review and post employee expense reports following IRS and company policies.
- Assist with Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, statement preparation, payment entries, and collections.
- Prepare Notice to Owner and Lien releases for qualified projects.
- Assist in the organization and storage of electronic accounting documents.
- Provide support for Month-End closing and Audits.
- Manage adhoc reporting and projects.
- Cross train with other members of the accounting team for coverage and growth.
- Cross train with Sales Support as needed, provide administrative support services to the office.
- Other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- 2 years of previous experience in accounts receivables, inventory management or related discipline.
- High attention to detail. Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Quickbooks basic knowledge. Salesforce and Fishbowl experience preferred.
- High school diploma. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- Computer Skills: Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Order Processing, Vendor Software.

Salary Range - $26.00 - 32.00 per hour, highly dependent on prior experience
