Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to oversee all aspects of quality control for our perfume company. This role requires a unique combination of technical expertise in fragrance evaluation, packaging assessment, and regulatory knowledge to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance in our products. The Quality Assurance Manager will play a key role in approving fragrance samples, monitoring production processes, and ensuring the quality of packaging and finished goods.

Responsibilities

Fragrance Evaluation and Approval:

• Assess and approve fragrance samples to ensure consistency with established benchmarks.
• Collaborate with perfumers, fragrance houses, and suppliers to maintain high-quality standards in raw materials.
• Conduct sensory evaluations to ensure product quality and adherence to brand specifications.

Production and Finished Goods Quality:

• Oversee all production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and company policies.
• Conduct inspections of finished goods to ensure proper adherence to product specifications, including fragrance strength, color, and packaging integrity.
• Address and resolve quality issues promptly to minimize production downtime.

Packaging Quality:

• Monitor the quality of all packaging materials, ensuring durability, functionality, and compliance with design specifications.
• Collaborate with the design and supply chain teams to identify and resolve packaging-related challenges.

Regulatory Documentation and Compliance:

• Ensure all products meet local and international regulatory requirements (e.g., IFRA standards, EU Cosmetics Regulation, FDA guidelines, etc.).
• Maintain and update regulatory documentation for all products, including safety data sheets (SDS) and certificates of analysis.
• Stay informed about evolving industry regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Quality Control/Assurance, preferably in the fragrance or beauty industry.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fragrance evaluation and benchmarking.
• Proficiency in regulatory compliance for the perfume or cosmetics industry.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials and functions.
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
