Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of transportation professionals, including transportation managers, driver supervisors, assistant dispatchers, and dispatch staff.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and customers, addressing any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with HR to implement safety initiatives, manage Workers' Compensation, and provide quality training to DTI employees.
- Analyze data to optimize routes and reduce costs associated with inbound freight management.
- Evaluate and improve processes to ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations.
- Prepare and manage budgets for the transportation area of the distribution center.
- Implement lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste and drive efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics or a related field.
