Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Package Handler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the receiving, sorting, and shipping of packages within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting as part of their daily responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Receive and unload packages from delivery trucks and containers.
- Sort and organize packages based on size, destination, and shipping method.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and ensure accurate shipment processing.
- Load packages onto delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping and receiving goals.
- Assist in inventory management by filing and organizing warehouse documents as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and other warehouse equipment is an asset.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification may be required).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate package handling.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the shift.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to maintaining a positive work environment.
