This role requires a versatile designer who is capable of moving from user experience design to creating visually engaging editorially lead projects effortlessly. You love collaborating and can skillfully balance immediate business needs and long-term initiatives, while pushing for what's best for the user. You have the ability to follow design guidelines while evolving the brand. You're excited about solving problems at scale and want to join an organization that's fast-paced and puts design and people at the heart of its work. About Your Contributions
Translate concepts and requirements into an end-to-end user experienceApproach design with a strong storytelling point of view, embracing and distilling input from the entire teamEffectively communicate your ideas and underlying thinking through in-person presentations and comprehensive documentation (presentations, flows, wireframes, prototypes, etc)Design editorial lead projects in the form of digital issues and work with our teams on social, video and commerce assets.Ensure brand best practices are upheld through all digital touchpoints for internal and external partners.Iterate quickly and explore multiple solutions for a given problemCreate high fidelity design specifications and collaborate with engineers to deliver products to marketPartner with a multidisciplinary team to evolve the product development processWork closely with designers and developers to establish and maintain a robust, component-based design systemIs able to contribute on both optimizing the user experience and elevating the brand
About You
You have at least 4 years of design experience working on brands and consumer-facing digital products.You have a creative portfolio of previous design work demonstrating a strong visual design sense, clean command over interaction design, typography and usabilityYou are flexible, able to jump on various design tasks across the spectrum of brand, visual, and UI/UX designYou are passionate about user-centric design principles, and putting the user first (and understand that you are not the user)You have strong depth of field- going macro with strategy, but can get micro with execution when the need arisesYou are accustomed to working within an Agile environment and have the desire to collaborate, iterate, and test along with Product and Engineering to discover the solutions that exceed user expectationsYou have the ability to communicate design decisions clearly and effectively across all functions and levelsYou have a BA/BS degree in design, UI/UX, HCI, a related field, or have equivalent experienceAbility to prioritize multiple projects and tasks, and reliably meet deadlinesOutstanding team player with a positive attitude

Pay Range
Salary: $76,300 - $109,000
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
