Job Description:
This is a technical position that reviews and evaluates scientific literatures and supports multiple departments/business units and national and international markets. The incumbent will create product supporting documentations that base on research findings, regulatory standards and guidance, and expert opinion. These activities will require the ability to identify and assess published information on dietary ingredients and plant oils, regulatory and safety reviews of dietary ingredients, analytical data, regulatory standards and guidance. The successful may contribute to product development ideation, the development of claim supporting study design and the preparation of publication draft.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review scientific literature and maintain technical database to support R&D and other business units
- Develop/define dōTERRA product features and claims that are compliant with current scientific evidence, expert opinion and regulatory standards and guidance
- Create product supporting documentations related to technical background, safety and recommendation
- Perform reviews on marketing, educational and product identity materials
- Provide technical support to product development groups collecting, summarizing research findings, and proposing ideation
- Perform other responsibilities as directed
Job Qualifications:
- MSc or Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, chemistry, physiology or allied field
- 3-4 years of commercial experience in the formulation, development of dietary supplement and functional foods, preferably involving a variety of dosage and product forms, including hard shell capsules, soft gel capsules, tablets, chewable wafer tablets, powdered drink mixes, granulations, nutrition bars; and preferably involving formulations for both domestic and international markets.
- Candidates must have experience in literature reviewing, developing study proposal, conducting bench work and collecting and analyzing data
- Ability to review, analyze and interpret study findings from various settings such as in vitro, animals and humans
- Ability to manage projects/tasks in a timely manner with minimal direction
- Ability to adapt change. Trainable, willing to learn, strong organizational and interpersonal skills and strong knowledge of MS Office and related products

- Experience in study data collection, report and statistical analysis
- Strong personal interest in dietary supplements, essential oils and nutrition
