What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Controls Service Tech. position at Doubl-Kold?
The position is for our industrial refrigeration and controls company located in Yakima. We are looking to fill the service technician opening in our controls department. As a service technician you will be working on building control panels, troubleshooting and maintaining our current control customer’s hardware and software systems in the field. We are looking for someone who can work with electronic and electrical hardware, they need to be comfortable working up high, doesn’t mind traveling, and be available 24 hours 7 days a week and some holidays when on call. This is not a job for someone who just wants to sit at a desk all day but for someone not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get things done.
We are not looking for a refrigeration tech. at this time. This is for the electrical/computer controls department.

Responsibilities:
- Build electrical control panels
- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic hardware and software
- Work with computers and software
- Work with the controls development team on firmware, hardware, and software
- Responsible for testing procedures with Quality Assurance
- Be available for in-field installations, hardware and software testing and support
Qualifications and Skills
- Well versed background in various software programs and computer hardware
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Flexibility in assorted job duties and the ability to multitask
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A great team player but also able to work well on their own
- Good people skills and a strong work ethic
- Good with a variety of hand and power tools
- Be able to travel when needed
- Be able to be on call 24 hours 7 days a week on a rotating schedule with others
- Work with industrial refrigeration controls or electrical installations is a plus
- Electronic and electrical experience is a plus
- Journeyman / HVAC electrical license is a plus'
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
