Description
The Relationship Manager, RIA, is responsible for new business development in the Midwest region, working with Registered Investment Advisers. This person will be responsible for marketing a suite of fixed income, equity mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative investments. The Midwest territory is responsible for relationships with RIAs throughout the central part of the U.S. The ideal candidate would reside in IL.
Job Functions
- Develop an annual business plan and devise the necessary activity strategies, tactics and resources to achieve stated goals and objectives
- Ability to travel across a large territory 3-4 days per week
- Develop, build and maintain relationships within a focus list of clients and prospects.
- Meet with advisors and educate them on the DoubleLine Funds.
- Track all meetings and sales events through CRM system (Salesforce.com).
- Present pre-approved sales presentations in a highly professional manner, which can be adapted to a variety of audiences.
- Interact with Firm staff to coordinate client service and sales efforts.
- Well versed on fixed income, global markets, and portfolio construction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or a finance-related major
- Minimum of 10 years in the investment management industry and 5 years as an external wholesaler
- Series 7 and 63 licenses
- CFA, CIMA® or CFP® preferred
- Demonstrated success selling mutual funds, ETFs and alternative products
- Existing relationships within territory
- Knowledge of the investment management industry and key portfolio management concepts
- Ability to thrive in an independent, challenging and collaborative environment
Base Salary Range
The estimated base salary for this position is $175,000. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
