DoubleTree by Hilton Boston Bayside is now hiring a Restaurant Chef. Our 197 room hotel offers all the comforts of home and is set near Boston's picturesque HarborWalk, making it a great choice among hotels in Boston near the airport. Our hotel is six miles from Boston Logan Airport and the MBTA Red Line subway station is less than one block away.
Our guests enjoy popular brands at the Marketplace Café and Take Away, where we offer Starbucks® coffee and premium deli meats on a menu of light bites, breakfast, and burgers served all day.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Restaurant Chef at our Marketplace Café and Take Away directs and organizes the activities of the Food & Beverage department to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.
What will I be doing?
Plans and directs the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.
Implements effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs.
Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
Helps ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service.
- Implements and creates new menus.
Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.
What are we looking for?
The Restaurant Chef works primarily days, however, due to the business demands, pm availability is required. The main goal for this person will be maintain and improve The Marketplace Cafe operation.
- 5 or more years of Food and Beverage Experience
- 3 or more years of supervisory experience
- Night and weekend availability as needed
- Career focused individual
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
