Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to lead our bar team at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Torrance. This role is ideal for a passionate hospitality professional with a strong background in beverage operations, employee supervision, and guest satisfaction. The Bar Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar and room service, ensuring an exceptional drinking and dining experience for our guests. This position will be part of the opening team for a new Mediterranean restaurant, making experience in new restaurant openings highly desirable. The Bar Manager will report to the Manager of F&B Outlets and the F&B Director.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead bar staff, ensuring excellent service and teamwork.
- Oversee daily bar and room service operations to maintain efficiency and high standards.
- Train, mentor, and motivate the bar team to enhance performance and guest experience.
- Manage wine, liquor, and beer inventory, purchases, and cost control.
- Maintain proper stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor regulations.
- Work closely with the culinary team to enhance beverage pairings, with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine.
- Develop and implement promotional strategies to drive revenue and customer engagement.
- Address guest concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitor financial performance, control expenses, and optimize profitability.
- Uphold the Hilton brand standards and maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a bartender with a strong understanding of mixology, wine, beer, and liquor.
- Proven leadership experience in a bar or hospitality setting.
- Extensive wine knowledge and certifications.
- Experience in new restaurant openings is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage various aspects of beverage operations.
- Ability to train and inspire a team to deliver top-tier service.
- Experience in inventory management, purchasing, and cost control.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards, health regulations, and liquor laws.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
