Job Summary:
The Director of Sales at DoubleTree Deerfield Beach, FL is a full-time individual contributor role in the Hotel/Hospitality industry. This position is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue and increase market share for the hotel. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals for the hotel
- Identify and target key market segments and source new clients for group sales, catering events, and room bookings
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients and actively seek out new business opportunities
- Conduct sales calls and presentations to potential clients and negotiate contracts
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless execution of events and customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with revenue management to set pricing and maximize profit for group bookings and events
- Monitor sales and revenue performance and provide regular reports and analysis to leadership
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors' activities, and local events to adjust strategies as needed
- Manage a team of sales coordinators and provide leadership and support to achieve collective goals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the hotel/hospitality industry, with proven success in driving revenue and increasing market share
- Strong knowledge of sales techniques, market analysis, and negotiation strategies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing a sales team
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel as required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a reliable mode of transportation
