The Revenue Manager is responsible for:
- Responsible for assisting in the maximization of revenue through the strategic manipulation of all rates, controls and restrictions.
- Identify peak, shoulder and off-peak dates one year in advance and sets yield strategies accordingly, regularly monitoring market dynamics and recommending adjustments to achieve revenue potential.
- Track room nights, rate and regrets by market segment and reason, ensuring higher rated rooms are not displaced with lower rated segments during market compression and that the reciprocal manifests during off season dates when occupancy building is paramount.
- Accumulates internal property statistics, competitive shopping in the market place and networks with timeshare properties to analyze and therefore position each asset to best take advantage of market conditions on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis.
- Track and maintain the revenue management process under the supervision of the Director of Marketing and Sales, not to generate demand, but rather take advantage of revenue opportunities, selling the right product at the right time at the right price.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Revenue Manager’s primary responsibilities will include:
- Record data concerning work assignments and special projects and prepare periodic reports.
- Possess full knowledge of all matters relating to proper techniques as established by hotel/franchise requirements.
- Interact with fellow associates in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ensure that all guest requests you receive are satisfied in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provides service in a highly professional manner at all times.
- Review internal management reports to include: occupancy forecasts, night audit summary, payroll edits, man-hour and payroll reports, productivity results from the prior day, operating checkbook accounts and schedules.
- Participate with formation of department annual operating budgets.
- Ensure that the hotel maintains all standards as defined by any third party affiliations (hotel franchiser) where applicable.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITY
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience as a property level Revenue Manager to include room occupancy, business displacement, hotel revenue, and miscellaneous reports.
- Hilton R&I certification a plus.
- Demonstrated computer skills, excel required.
- Ability to interact with hotel/hotel guests and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to multi-task within specific time constraints.
- Good attitude and work ethic practices.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to give direction.
- One – two years’ experience is a plus.
