Summary: As a Shipping Receiving Clerk at DRG Technologies you will play a pivotal role on the Fulfillment Team and Manufacturing process by ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and products while also contributing to the finishing touches on our label products. You will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, as well as performing finishing tasks to prepare labels for final delivery to our customers. Attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this dynamic role.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, supplies, and finished products.
- Inspect received goods for accuracy, quality, and damage.
- Verify quantities and match received items to purchase orders or packing lists.
- Unload, unpack, and properly store incoming materials and products in designated storage areas.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to customer orders or shipping instructions.
- Ensure that outgoing shipments are accurate and properly labeled.
- Coordinate with customer service to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using CERM, our computerized systems.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Perform finishing duties on label products, may include trimming and applying final touches according to customer specifications.
- Operate any finishing equipment such as cutting machines and rewinders.
- Work closely with press operators to ensure efficient material allocation.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance and compliance with customer requirements.
- Keep shipping, receiving, and finishing areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external suppliers, and freight carriers to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Other duties and assignments as required by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or finishing work preferred.
- Familiarity with computerized inventory management systems.
- Basic math skills and the ability to accurately count and measure materials.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and move heavy objects and operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Experience with finishing equipment and processes preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to shipping, receiving, and finishing activities.
