The Accountant will be responsible for supporting the accounting operations of a rapidly
growing restaurant chain with multiple locations across California, Texas, Oregon, and Seattle.

Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the general ledger. Perform account reconciliations and ensure proper classification of transactions
- Expense Management: Monitor and analyze expenses to identify trends and areas for cost savings. Work closely with management to develop and implement expense control measures
- Bank Reconciliation: Prepare monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances and transactions
- Financial Analysis: Assist in financial analysis and reporting, including variance analysis and budget vs. actual comparisons. Provide insights to management to support decision-making
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Audit Support: Support external auditors during the annual audit process. Provide documentation and explanations as needed
- Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in the restaurant industry
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Salary ranges: $78,000 - $85,000 per year(based on experience)
