Responsibilities
Overseeing the education of the staff on the finer points of service, including an overall beverage appreciation and training to boost our staff's product knowledge, steps of service, table-side presence, proper wine service, and overall knowledge of best practices.
Opening and closing the restaurant, preparing and reconciling closing banks, writing daily recaps, and doing the final restaurant walk-through.
Manage and oversee service, directly manage service and bartending staff
Assisting in training, coaching, supporting, and disciplinary conversations with employees.
Leading motivational pre-shifts that cover service standards, food and drink menus, and relevant topics
Participating in management meetings.
Assisting GM in controlling COGS, labor, and comps to budgets as set by GM.
Assisting in the execution of bi-monthly inventory.
Overseeing and writing schedules for FOH staff
Qualifications :
At least 4 years of experience as a restaurant manager in a full-service, fast-paced environment
At least 2 years of experience in a service position (server, bartender)
Extensive food and beverage knowledge with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
Experience with POS systems, inventory management systems, and reservation management systems
Ability to execute promotional and managerial deadlines
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
Great communication and organizational skills
The ability to maintain composure in busy, high-volume environments
High-level problem solving skills
Open availability
