Position Summary
This Student Trainee position provides a unique opportunity for postsecondary students to gain hands-on work experience in a professional environment. As a member of our team, you will have the chance to learn more about Distribution Operations and contribute to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as washing and cleaning work vehicles and organizing tools.
- Participate in special projects such as painting poles and other manual tasks.
- Maintain a safe and respectful working environment by following District policies and safety procedures.
- Develop effective communication skills and work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED, and be enrolling or enrolled in an accredited trade school, college, or university.
- An interest in learning more about Distribution Operations at an electric utility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical capability to work in an outdoor environment, performing physical work tasks in all weather.
- A valid Washington State driver license and proof of acceptable driving record.
