POSITION SUMMARY :
Douglas County PUD offers Student Trainee positions to postsecondary students during the summer break months.
Work start and end dates can accommodate student availability and vary depending on school schedules. This
position will provide work experience in a professional environment and provide the opportunity to learn more
about Distribution Operations. This includes the opportunity to see the hands-on work that our skilled trades
employees do to keep our lights on and high-speed broadband up and running. This position is full time (40 hours
per week) and the work schedule is M-F, 7 : 00 a.m. – 4 : 00 p.m. or M-Th, 6 a.m. – 4 : 30 p.m. The hourly rate for this
position is $17.58.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Assist others with washing and cleaning work vehicles, organizing tools, and other daily tasks.
- Help perform work projects such as painting poles and other manual tasks.
- Work respectfully and cooperatively with diverse groups of people and maintain professional interactions at
all times in the workplace.
SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE :
university. Must be considered a full-time student.
