Job Summary:
This full-time position provides an opportunity to learn about Distribution Operations at an electric utility. As a Student Trainee, you will assist with daily tasks, perform manual projects, and work cooperatively with diverse groups of people.
Essential Functions:
- Assist others with washing and cleaning work vehicles, organizing tools, and other daily tasks.
- Help perform work projects such as painting poles and other manual tasks.
- Work respectfully and cooperatively with diverse groups of people and maintain professional interactions at all times in the workplace.
- Follow District policies and safety procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED, and be enrolling or enrolled in an accredited trade school, college, or university. Must be considered a full-time student.
- An interest in learning more about Distribution Operations at an electric utility.
- Professional work attitude, ability, and ethic.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a variety of settings.
- Ability to work independently and develop solutions for problems as they occur.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical capability to work in an outdoor environment, performing physical work tasks in all weather.
- A valid Washington State driver license and proof of acceptable driving record.
