Douglas Cove offers a range of services to our residents all under one roof. We offer assisted living, skilled nursing rehabilitation / long term care and a secured memory care. Grace of Douglas is a small and has a home like environment. We are located in the beautiful city of Douglas, MI., less than one mile away from the lake and walking distance to downtown Douglas and Saugatuck.
Summary / Objective
In keeping with our organization’s tradition, we seek to enhance the quality of life and holistic growth of older persons by providing high quality service in a cheerful, timely manner and by communicating, coordinating, and cooperating with others to attain goals. The dietary cook position is responsible for providing nourishing food to residents, guests and employees under sanitary conditions as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Essential Functions .
- Prepares food for patients and residents.
- Ensures food supplies are appropriate and places orders when necessary.
- Ensures a clean kitchen and workspace.
- Supervises dietary assistant
- Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
- Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
- Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.
- Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
- Obtain food supplies for next meal.
- Assist in checking diet trays before distribution.
