Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer reports directly to the Engineering Manager and plays a crucial role within the Engineering Team. Primary responsibilities include planning, implementing, managing, and executing engineering activities for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and drawings using AutoCAD software.
- Develop back panel layouts and interpret mechanical design drawings for electrical requirements.
- Research and source assembly components from suppliers.
- Establish and maintain existing safety standards (UL 508a, NEC, NFPA 86) and SIL safety and machine safety (ISO 12100).
- Develop electrical bills of materials and configure hardware according to application specifications.
- Review quality of assemblers' and technicians' work and provide support during assembly.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineers to prepare quotes and provide input on product specifications.
- Troubleshoot existing equipment in the field and ensure efficient resolution of issues.
Software Proficiency:
- Auto CAD Electrical
- PLC programming (Allen Bradley/Rockwell, Schneider, Beijer, Beckhoff) with expertise in Ladder Logic and Structured Text
- Technical writing skills, including software management plans (e.g., SDS, SRS, Test Plan, Traceability Matrix, User/Operating Manual with Troubleshooting Guide, Spare Parts List with Vendor Part Number)
- Participate in requirement reviews and collaborate with Systems Engineering to ensure proper implementation of features

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field (electrical engineering degree preferred).
- Minimum 5-7 years of industry experience.
- Proficiency in Design/Drafting Tools (AutoCAD Electrical).
- Familiarity with Industry Standards (UL, NEC, NFPA).
- Ability to analyze electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory and logic control.
- Understanding of fluid transfer systems and pumps.
- Knowledge of fluid power and pneumatic systems.
