Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Operations Specialist to join our team at Douglas Manufacturing Company, Inc.
This role involves managing materials, tracking inventory, maintaining quality, and ensuring accurate stock levels. You will be the connection between procurement, production, and suppliers—helping to keep operations efficient and seamless.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify deliveries to confirm that received parts and materials match orders and quantities are correct.
- Transfer received parts into stock containers, label them for easy identification, and maintain accurate records of received and stored materials.
- Monitor, record, and adjust inventory levels to account for scrap and discrepancies.
- Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Track open and past-due purchase orders, ensuring timely communication with vendors and the production team.
- Enter and place new purchase orders as needed to support production schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- At least three (3) years of experience in an inventory or production role within an industrial environment.
- Prior experience with quality assurance and continuous improvement processes is preferred.
