Douglas Parking is looking to hire FULL TIME Valet Parking Attendant staff for a location in Oakland, CA. The hours will be Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (FT).
We are searching for capable valet attendants willing to work the morning shift who have experience valeting driving both stick shift and automatic vehicles. You will also be a form of security for the location during the daytime.
Qualified applicants must have a valid CA driver's license and have been experienced drivers for at least 5 years. Must have the ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle (stick shift).
Below is a brief description of duties and responsibilities:
Valet Attendants will be responsible for assisting all guests entering and exiting the lot.
Opening doors and greeting patrons. Ability to efficiently park a vehicle into designated spaces.
Ability to perform cash handling procedures for any returning patrons. Quickly retrieve vehicles. Attendants will also be required to perform basic maintenance and repair functions throughout the facility, such as parking equipment preventative maintenance, general cleaning, and completion of daily environmental safety checklists.
- Skilled at operating motor vehicles equipped with manual transmissions (stick shift and clutch).
- Skilled at moving and parking vehicles in confined spaces.
- Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
- Communicating with others to convey information effectively
- Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must have a strong verbal, written communication skills, and ability to lift up to 30lbs
. Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
