Sewer Maintenance Foreman
$24.38 hourly
This position performs work of moderate difficulty, supervising and participating in the general maintenance, repair, and construction of wastewater (sewer) systems and other related structures and facilities. Work involves overseeing and participating in the activities performed by subordinate employees involved in construction, maintenance, repair, and related work.
Candidates should possess a High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with five (5) years of experience in the construction, maintenance, and repair of various public work facilities, with some previous supervisory experience preferred. Candidates should also possess the following: valid State of Georgia driver’s license and Class “A” CDL, satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), State of Georgia Wastewater Collection Systems License, or the ability to obtain one within one year of employment, State of Georgia Water Distribution License, or the ability to obtain one within one year of employment. Possession of Manual Transmission Endorsement preferred or be able to obtain within six (6) months from the hire date. Candidates should also possess a Confined Spaces certificate, a Department of Transportation Flagger certificate, and a Trench Excavation certificate. An individual in this position is required to be on-call on a rotating basis and report to the Maintenance Superintendent.
