ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Wellness Supervisor to lead our campus-wide wellness initiatives. This role is responsible for designing and implementing innovative wellness programs that enhance the quality of life for Independent Living residents, those in licensed care areas, staff, and outside community members. This leader will also oversee the land and aquatic wellness programs and provide direct support to the Functional Maintenance Program (FMP) Coordinator, ensuring new clients are onboarded successfully.
The Wellness Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining our wellness facilities in partnership with the Director of Building Services and supervises a team of wellness staff and contracted employees, providing coaching, training, and performance development.
Hours & Schedule
This is a full-time, hourly position. Primary hours are Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, with some flexibility required for events and a rotating weekend MOD schedule.
Your Background & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Exercise Science or related field.
- Certification with ACSM, ACE, AFAA, or SFA is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
- Current Driver’s License required.
- Physical ability to pull up to 60 lbs, lift up to 50 lbs, and carry up to 15 lbs.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Lead engaging land and water-based wellness classes for residents across all care levels.
- Oversee and maintain wellness center operations and equipment in partnership with Maintenance.
- Support the Functional Maintenance Program (FMP), assisting in marketing and onboarding clients.
- Collaborate with the Director of Life Enrichment to manage wellness program expenses and meet revenue targets.
- Facilitate monthly fitness assessments for IL and ALF residents (minimum 2x/year).
- Set, track, and report key wellness metrics to the Director of Life Enrichment.
- Drive staff wellness initiatives and employee engagement activities.
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate the performance of the wellness team.
- Plan and host community wellness events including family swim and outdoor wellness experiences.
- Partner with Marketing to promote wellness programming both on- and off-campus.
- Provide onboarding and orientation for new wellness members (residents, staff, and community).
- Promote continued learning and certification opportunities for self and team.
