Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Litigation Associate at Dowd Bennett LLP in Dallas, TX. The Litigation Associate will be responsible for handling day-to-day tasks related to litigation cases, including conducting legal research, drafting motions, participating in depositions, and representing clients in various courts. The associate will work closely with our team of experienced attorneys and will have the opportunity to work on high-stakes cases and gain valuable experience in all phases of litigation.
Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of post-JD work experience
- Strong knowledge of law and legal procedures
- Experience in conducting legal research and writing motions
- Ability to effectively participate in depositions and courtroom proceedings
- Familiarity with different courts and their specific procedures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to prioritize and manage different tasks without direct supervision or instruction
- Clerkship preferred but not required
- Admission to the Texas State Bar or ability to become admitted
