- Set up and operate CNC machines, mills, grinders, and other machinery to produce parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine machining procedures and specifications.
- Select and install appropriate tools, equipment, and fixtures for the job.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Inspect parts using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and report any equipment malfunctions.
- Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and ensure product quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the machining process.
- Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Machinist or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, machining techniques, and equipment.
- Experience with various machining tools and equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.).
- Familiarity with quality control processes and measurement tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
