Machinist

Job Summary

We are seeking a Machinist to operate, set up, and maintain machines and equipment used in manufacturing processes. This role requires excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with precision tools and machines. You will be responsible for producing high-quality parts and ensuring smooth production operations in a fast-paced environment.

• Set up and operate CNC machines, mills, grinders, and other machinery to produce parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine machining procedures and specifications.
• Select and install appropriate tools, equipment, and fixtures for the job.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Inspect parts using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and report any equipment malfunctions.
• Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and ensure product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the machining process.
• Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Machinist or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming, machining techniques, and equipment.
• Experience with various machining tools and equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.).
• Familiarity with quality control processes and measurement tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  
  

Office Location and Travel:

In-office: This position requires a regular in-office presence, with flexibility to work remotely as needed.

Occasional travel to other local and out of state business sites, conferences and meetings may be requested.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.
