What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Service Advisor position at Dowling Ford Inc?
Duties:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Perform vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs and maintenance
- Provide detailed explanations and recommendations to customers regarding repairs and maintenance needed
- Prepare accurate estimates for labor and parts costs
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with technicians for timely repairs
- Maintain communication with customers throughout the repair process
- Process payments and handle cash transactions
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or issues
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repairs and maintenance, including shocks, struts, transmission, alignment, oil changes, diesel engine repair, suspension, auto body repair, air brakes, and brake repair
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and technicians
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling and invoicing purposes
- Cash handling experience is a plus
