Automotive Service Advisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional customer service while managing the flow of work in the service department. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive services to effectively communicate with both customers and technicians.

Duties

• Greet customers and assess their service needs, providing accurate information regarding services offered.
• Create detailed service repair orders that outline customer concerns and recommended repairs or maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure clarity on work orders and service requirements.
• Manage customer inquiries regarding service status, pricing, and recommendations for additional services such as oil changes and auto body repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service history in the management system.
• Provide estimates for services, including air brake repairs and other specialized services.
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further concerns.
• Assist in managing the workflow within the service department to optimize efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service, preferably within an automotive or repair environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical repair, tire service, auto service management, and air brake systems is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with service writing processes and terminology related to automotive repairs.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to customers.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records.
• A passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to providing excellent customer experiences.
• Reynolds & Reynolds, and XTime experience perferred.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
