JOB SUMMARY AND SCOPE
Develop and implement outpatient scheduling policies and procedures according to the hospital’s available services and guidelines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Establishes efficient workflows to support the accurate and timely scheduling of hospital patients.
- Ensures the appropriate staffing of OP scheduling.
- Directs and supervises daily activities of all scheduling staff.
- Ensures a positive patient experience during the scheduling process.
- Participates in scheduling activities.
- Tracks staff productivity and accuracy and established process improvement.
- Works closely with op management to establish accurate scheduling templating.
- Produces various reports and feedback as requested and addresses non-routine items with VP of Finance or appropriate revenue cycle leader.
- Strives to create an atmosphere in the department that exemplifies excellent customer service
- Participates in various committees and meetings as assigned
- Adheres to the organizational leadership profile
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Performs duties in a safe manner, in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Complies with the Code of Conduct and all appropriate policies and procedures

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Associates Degree in a Business-related field or equivalent experience
- Two years management experience or supervisory experience
