What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Analyst position at Down, Inc.?
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Daily review of material inventory levels.
- Actively manage component and finished goods inventory levels to achieve desired turns and service levels.
- Maintain appropriate level of packaging materials and other operational materials needed to support manufacturing operations
- Identify cost reduction opportunities
- Entry of daily stock transactions
- Weekly Cycle counting and year end plant counts at both locations
- System set-up of new stock numbers and revisions as needed. bill of materials (BOM) set up and maintenance.
- Communicate low/out inventory status to appropriate staff so accurate information is available to communicate to customers.
- Weekly reporting and meetings
- Perform other related duties as required.
- This position may require some travel 10% - 15%
Essential Skills:
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills with ERP systems experience required.
- Accuracy of work product is essential.
- Analytical and process-oriented skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to accurately gather and report information.
- Knowledge of customer service process.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and problem-solve in an effective, timely and cost-appropriate manner.
- Must be self-motivating and capable of working both independently and in a team
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, plus 1-2 years' experience.
OR
Previous industry experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement.
