Position Overview: The Sales Director will play a critical role in driving the growth and success of Down Money by leading the sales team. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, ensuring sales targets are met, and fostering strong relationships with key clients. The Sales Director will have a hands-on role in both high-level strategy and day-to-day management, focusing on driving revenue growth while aligning with the company’s overall objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and refine sales strategies to achieve corporate revenue and growth targets. Identify new market opportunities, trends, and customer needs, and align sales efforts to address these opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective goals. Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to drive a high-performing sales culture. Foster a collaborative and competitive sales environment to achieve team objectives.
- Establish clear sales targets, KPIs, and quotas for the sales team. Monitor team performance, track progress against targets, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure objectives are met.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, prospects, and stakeholders to drive business growth. Act as a point of escalation for client issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed of market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry best practices. Analyze competitor strategies and market conditions to identify new opportunities for business development.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting and reporting to senior management, including updates on sales progress, pipeline health, and potential risks. Use data-driven insights to adjust strategies and resource allocation.
- Work closely with Marketing, Product, and other teams to ensure alignment across the organization and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Collaborate on product development, promotional campaigns, and client retention strategies.
- Oversee and support high-value negotiations, contracts, and the closure of major deals, ensuring favorable terms for the company while meeting client expectations.
- Manage sales budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI. Monitor expenses related to sales initiatives and adjust as necessary to remain within budget.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 7-10 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of successfully leading sales teams and driving revenue growth.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Deep understanding of sales strategies, processes, and methodologies
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and sales analytics tools
- Ability to analyze data, generate insights, and make strategic decisions
