Beverage Service Manager
Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of beverage services on assigned shifts. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in beverage service and possess excellent customer service, employee relations, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of beverage services on assigned shifts.
- Ensure successful operation of VIP Rooms and Pool Bar on assigned shifts.
- Maintain high-quality beverage products served to meet established specifications and standards.
- Pour drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicate with beverage servers, and present drinks to guests or servers as required.
- Operate and maintain all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines when scheduled as a bartender.
- Ring the proper amount into the register and give the guest or server the correct change; account for all cash, charge, and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintain integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines.
- Ensure minimum labor levels to perform required service levels.
- Complete daily financial tools and reports when scheduled.
- Execute and audit beverage inventory and cost control systems and procedures when scheduled.
- Audit and resolve any guest complaints promptly.
- Handle service equipment safely and report mechanical problems to the proper department.
- Conduct service education programs; coach, reinforce, and lead personnel in their duties.
- Enforce appearance and uniform guidelines, regulatory requirements, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Perform Food and Kitchen Supervisor duties as necessary.
- Present an outstanding example and credit to Downstream Casino Resort.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a friendly, pleasant, and professional manner.
- Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Attend all necessary training meetings.
- Report directly to the Beverage Supervisor.
- Work mandatory holidays and special events.
- Serve as liaison between employees and managers.
