We are looking for a Real Estate Development Assistant to join our team!
Downstreet is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Real Estate Development Assistant to support the creation of new affordable housing in Central Vermont. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in real estate development, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in coordinating real estate development projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
· Prepare and maintain project files, reports, and presentations. Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
· Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and government agencies. Handle correspondence and inquiries related to development projects.
· Review zoning and permitting requirements, time frames, and costs and integrate into project schedule and budget.
· Participate in site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
· Complete related administrative tasks as needed.
Experience and Education
· Three years’ experience in relevant field
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn relevant software
· Highly organized with a strong ability to manage priorities and deadlines
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, active listening skills, and problem-solving abilities
· Commitment to equity and inclusion and social and economic justice
· Valid Vermont Driver’s License, personal vehicle with insurance, and ability to travel for position
Physical Requirements
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer
· Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time

Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 per year
