About the Downtowner Boutique Hotel:
A Newly Remodeled Vintage Hotel with a Palm Springs vibe has a bar lobby, 6-hole putting course, and pool.
Job Overview: The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of common areas of the property. This role supports the housekeeping team and ensures a welcoming environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning Duties: Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing common areas, hallways, stairwells, and restrooms.
- Supplies Management: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
- Trash Disposal: Collect and dispose of trash from common areas and ensure proper recycling procedures are followed.
- Guest Assistance: Provide assistance to residents and guests by answering questions and directing them as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety and health regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations.
- Miscellaneous: Performs all other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services.
- Ability to get and maintain SNHD Health Card
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
Working Conditions:
- Requires standing, use of stairs, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds throughout the shift for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in small spaces.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying room conditions.
- Ability to work flexible hours is required, including weekends and holidays.
