Position Title: Kids Special Needs Discipleship Coordinator
Reports To: Kids Discipleship Director
Employment Status: Full-time (32 hrs), Hourly
Summary: This role leads, oversees, and coordinates the vision for Special Needs Discipleship at Doxa Church. This is done through the recruitment and training of specialized volunteers, the adaptation of curriculum to serve individual children, the building of systems and procedures to facilitate special needs care, and advocacy with parents of special needs children.

In addition, this individual must be able to comprehend and implement the vision and initiatives of Doxa Church and possess excellent clerical, organizational, and computer skills with good interpersonal competencies.
- Availability to work Sundays and special events, including but not limited to, Kids Camp (May-June), Easter, and Christmas.
Experience or Education:
- Required: Special Needs Experience or Educational College Degree
- Preferred: Volunteer Leading/Management
- Preferred: Planning Center Suite, Google Suite, Mac & Microsoft Office Suite
Essential Roles and Responsibilities Include:
- Plan and oversee the annual development of Doxa Kids Special Needs Discipleship (Yearly rhythms, Ministry goals, Staffing, Tools and training, etc.).
- Develop specialized ministry plans and tools for each child in Special Needs Discipleship
- Ensure facilities are inviting, organized, and safe for kids and staff.
- Adapt Doxa Kids curriculum to meet the needs of children with special needs and oversee the preparation of curriculum materials (Lesson props, Worksheets, Crafts, etc.)
- Develop and implement specialized training for volunteers serving in Special Needs Discipleship, including teachers and “buddies” that enable kids to participate in Doxa Kids age specific services and events.
- Develop tools to partner with parents of special needs children.
- Work alongside Doxa Kids Staff with the planning and implementation of Kids Camp, including but not limited to developing and implementing individualized adaptations that enable kids with special needs to participate.
- Oversee all General Operations components to Doxa Kids for a subset of Doxa Kids (Safety procedures, Volunteer communication and scheduling, Planning Center systems, Budgeting, etc.).
- Provide ongoing behavior management training to Doxa Kids staff, especially as it pertains to children with special needs
- Other related tasks as assigned by supervisor
