DPP is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for an opportunity in Columbia, SC. Candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level US security clearance.

Work arrangement:
- Hybrid: Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and as needed; WFH remainder
- W2 position; 12 months
- Must be eligible to earn a low-level US security clearance, which requires a thorough background search and ship.
- Primarily responsible for defining and documenting system business requirements.
- Works directly with clients to understand the individual needs of the business.
- Performs searches and analysis to come up with solutions to business problems and helps to introduce those solutions to businesses and their clients.
- Must have strong communication skills, adaptable to fast-paced environments, work with minimal supervision, and have the ability to learn quickly to analyze the data.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Microsoft Visio is a plus
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
- HIPAA
- LOMA
- 2 years of IT business analysis experience.
- Defines customer needs in technical and business contexts. Ensure the proposed technical and business solutions meet the customer's objectives for the work effort.
- Elicit and document user requirements to meet a business objective. Identify and validate requirements and organize the information into a logical document that is understood by the customer and Information Systems.
- Guide both technical and customer departments in the development of the systems that support the business solution.
- Ensure the accurate deployment of solutions through review of problem logs, assisting with test plans and test matrices, and other analysis activities.
- Validate the business need for solutions to business problems and process improvements.
- Basic knowledge of standard industry practices.
- Able to acquire knowledge of procedures for the supported business unit.
- Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including the ability to express complex technical and business concepts to management, peers, and the business units.
- Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Understands how IT affects an organization and can link it to business processes.
- Good analytical and conceptual skills.
- Broad understanding of test plans and test matrices, project plans, and scope and design documents.

- The team is responsible for capturing and defining all business requirements for the company s applications. The team has 6 key performers, all responsible for capturing understanding for their customers.
- Whether it s new functionality or enhancements to their current system, or resolving a defect, they are responsible to translating that into requirements their developers can use to deliver the resolve.
- Fast-paced, high demand environment. Work is frequently performed against mandated deadlines. Knowledge of when and what to delegate is essential to balance multiple high-priority tasks. Fast-paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other job-related degree;
- OR, Associates degree in CS, Bus. Admin., or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
- OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 6 years without a degree)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other job related field,
- OR, 4 years of job-related experience with government business and/or client s companies.
